James Mitchell
Architectural Designer & Founder
James Mitchell is a South African architect with British roots and the founder of Abon Studio, based in Cape Town, South Africa. Renowned for crafting modern structures that meet particularly challenging requirements, James has quickly established a reputation for innovative design. His first project, Two-Close-Between, gained international recognition, earning a nomination for ArchDaily’s Residential Building of the Year, and was featured in the international hardcover book Beautiful Houses by the Water as well as in the popular local magazine VISI.
James holds a Master’s Degree from the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) in Barcelona and brings over ten years of professional experience to his work.
